This position will be based at Martabe Site in Martabe Project Development Department, working on schedule 4 Weeks on; 2 weeks off and reports directly to the Manager – Tailings Projects Development

The role of the Superintendent – Tailings Projects is to support Manager Tailings Project Development with focus on the study/development of strategies and delivery of project(s), relating to management of Martabe mine tailings beyond the current permitted tailings facility. The role will be responsible for evaluating and managing engineering design of new facilities, execution of investigative works required to support design, management of contractors involved in design, all government related activities required for permitting of existing and new tailings management facilities and planning of construction activities required for new facilities

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Certificate in Civil Engineering / Geology Geotechnical, BSc
  • Certify as Professional Engineer from reputable Institution. Grade Madya-IPM
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in design and, managing  construction of earthworks structures
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in position as senior geotechnical or civil engineer
  • Understanding the geotechnical drilling and laboratory testing program
  • Have POP/POM Certificate
  • Membership of professional Association
  • Strong analytical in Engineering
  • Proactive in safety

Martabe Gold Mine is managed and operated by PT Agincourt Resources. The mine covers an area of 30 km² that falls under the sixth generation of Contract of Work (CoW) covering a total area of 1,639 km² The resource base on 31 December 2017 includes 8.8 Moz of gold and 72 Moz of silver. Production commenced at Martabe on 24 July 2012.
