Position Description

  • Conducts global investigations of complex matters with significant impact to the company and workers in the supply chain (for example, allegations of underage labor, human trafficking, forced labor, slave labor, unauthorized subcontracting, unacceptable working conditions, abuse, harassment at work place)
  • Presents findings in the form of investigation report and evidence files for adjudication meetings testifying to findings and investigative processes and presenting significant investigative updates to senior leaders when required
  • Supports team on various tasks, interviewing reporters, suppliers and other individuals or entities as requested, providing support for translation of various communication, forms and documents in local language into English when required and due diligence researches or background checks
  • Supports risk assessment by conducting regular open source researches into the focused higher risk areas and escalate any critical findings to supervisor
  • Assist in identifying process risks and control breaks, developing team strategies and approaches, gaining leadership support and driving execution of special audit programs to deliver results.
  • Identifies investigative trends and provides solutions for potential systemic threats, vulnerabilities, and risks  by researching relevant facilities, industries, and technical matters and documenting findings utilizes trend analysis to identify potential risks, needed resources and applying them as necessary
  • Maintains internal and external relationships by identifying business owners and establishing relationships collaborates with international investigative partners to grow investigative capabilities and alignment
  • Analyzes business objectives and customer needs  supports resource requirements optimizes operational processes measures outcomes to ensure desired results identifies and capitalizes on improvement opportunities promotes a customer environment and demonstrates adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning
  • Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices
  • Supports the standardization of investigative processes and procedures for new investigative reports, systems, and operating guidelines aligns all investigative processes to a global standard to drive consistency and quality ensuring compliance with identified standards

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Political Science, Social and Environmental or other related field
  • 5 years’ experience in investigative casework (supply chain investigation or internal investigation), social compliance or supply chain security auditing or other related field. Applicants who have experience in investigating supply chain violations in multinational corporations or conducting investigations in different regions will be considered first.
  • Good command of both oral and written English as well as local language(s). The incumbent is expected to frequently communicate with the case managers in US Headquarters and is required to prepare and present clear and concise investigation reports, accurately reflecting facts and evidences gathered during investigation and other assigned tasks
  • Having patience to visually observe facilities, over a period of time, during initial stages of investigations
  • Proficiency in computer knowledge with capabilities of creating documents, writing reports, conducting research on inter net, analyzing data in excel and making presentation in power point to small or large groups and individuals
  • The ability and availability to travel is a prerequisite to perform the essential functions of this position. The incumbent will be required to travel frequently to and from multiple facilities or work-sites in different countries requiring extended overnight stays and be ready to get on the road with a short notice
