This position will be based at Martabe Site in OHS & Training Department, working on schedule 4 Weeks on 2 weeks off and reports directly to senior supervisor – safety & mobile equipment training

This position exists to assist ME & Safety Training Senior Supervisor in managing and supervising the development and implementation of knowledge and skill training in the Mobile Equipment and related permitting training areas.
The incumbent also ensuring the quality of training and assessment provision for all PTAR and contractors personnel who require permits and licences, in order to work safely and effectively. This should be also aligned with existing and related regulations and legislation. The incumbent can also acting as trainer and assessor for any related Safety, ME and permitting trainings.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience

  • Minimum D3 / S1 in Engineering discipline
  • More than 3 years experience in the mining industry as a supervisor of mobile equipment training.
  • Thorough knowledge of Mobile Equipment, permitting, Training Safety and have a BNSP certification
  • A sound awareness of operational safety issues and an excellent personal safety record
  • A sound awareness of competency based training systems
  • High level competency in personal computer applications including Word, Excel, Access databases
  • Good in analytical and conceptual thinking
  • Ability to communicate both written and verbal in english
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with others as part of a team and contribute to a harmonious working environment
  • Enthusiasm, self-motivation and the ability to maintain direction and achieve work objectives with minimal supervision

Martabe Gold Mine is managed and operated by PT Agincourt Resources. The mine covers an area of 30 km² that falls under the sixth generation of Contract of Work (CoW) covering a total area of 1,639 km² The resource base on 31 December 2017 includes 8.8 Moz of gold and 72 Moz of silver. Production commenced at Martabe on 24 July 2012.
