FACILITY ENGINEER - PROCESS SAFETY MANAGEMENT

Job Description and Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical services and applying engineering knowledge/broad experience to recognize and identify hazards, assess risk, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Accountable for applying process safety management principles to a managed level of risk for operating facilities.
  • Responsible for cross functional interface management and/or managing cross-discipline facilities engineers.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree and above with minimum GPA 2,75  in mechanical or chemical engineering.
  • Have minimum 5 years of working experience as facility engineer in oil and gas upstream/downstream business.
  • Have knowledge and application of industry codes and standards and specifications related to the design, fabrication, operation, inspection, and testing of equipment.
  • Excellent in demonstrating and understanding of components of Process Safety/ Risk Management, including process safety information, operating procedures,  management of change, process hazards, failure mechanisms, and safeguards.
  • Have knowledge and application of technical risk assessments utilizing appropriate methodologies (e.g., Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs), Consequence Modelling, etc.).
  • Able to work efficiently and effectively in team, comfortable with tight deadlines and naturally is a self-starter. 
  • Excellent in communication and interpersonal skill.
  • Excellent in establishing effective relationships with multicultural people in diverse organization.
  • Excellent in demonstrating the highest standard of integrity and ethical conduct, and to build & maintain trust, respect and support others.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office (Ms. Word, Ms. Excel & Power Point) as well as computer literacy.
  • Able to communicate verbally and in writing in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.
  • Have willingness to be relocated to all company operations locations in Indonesia.

PT. Chevron Pacific Indonesia (PT CPI) holds a 100 percent-owned and operated interest in the Rokan PSC, which expires in 2021. Net daily production averaged 122,000 barrels of crude oil and 21 million cubic feet of natural gas in 2017. Duri is the largest producing field in the Rokan PSC. We continue to implement projects designed to sustain production, increase recovery and improve reliability from existing reservoirs. In 2016, we continued infill drilling and workover programs. Duri has been under steam flood since 1985 and is one of the world’s largest steam flood developments. In 2017, net daily production averaged 54,000 barrels of crude oil. Infill drilling and workover programs continued in 2017. Net daily production in 2018 from all producing areas in Indonesia averaged 104,000 barrels of liquids.
