HSE Manager - Aquaculture Company - North Sumatra & Java

Our client is looking for an HSE Manager who will be responsible for preventing accidents and making sure safety measures are adhered to in business and/or workplace and also to keep updated on the latest government environmental regulations, as well as any new policies.

Description

  • Create and execute learning strategies and programs
  • Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety
  • Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law.
  • Conducting training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention.
  • Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations.
  • Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions.
  • Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle workers compensations claims.
  • Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures.
  • Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics.
  • Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines.
  • Visit job sites to conduct safety audits on personnel, equipment and materials
  • Evaluate, assess and alter safety procedures and policies for the benefit of employees and clients
  • Research and implement new materials handling processes
  • Analyse accident reports and evaluate injury case studies based on available facts
  • Prepare and conduct safety training sessions for employees and vendors
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies and standards.
  • Research environmental regulations and policies and institute changes to ensure compliance
  • Track incident metrics and apply findings
  • Oversee the applications for and receipt of necessary permits
  • Lead injury and incident inquiries and evaluations and to be available for audit relevant of Health & Safety issues
  • To accomplish their goals, environmental managers handle a number of tasks.
  • They create, implement and maintain programs and procedures to facilitate a safer environment.
  • They may train or direct employees to follow those procedures.
  • They survey their employer's holdings to make sure everything's operating normally and file reports on what they find. They also prepare other types of paperwork, such as accident reports.
  • May act as liaisons between their immediate employer and other branches of their company, like senior management
  • Ensure that their employers comply with both internal and external environmental requirements. In other words, their corporation sets its own standards for keeping its operations environmentally sound and the state and federal government has numerous compliance laws as well.
  • Environmental managers familiarise themselves with all of these requirements to see that superiors, peers and subordinates carry them out properly.

Profile

  • Experiences as HSE Manager for 5 years at manufacturing company
  • Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods
  • Familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices
  • Experience in project management and budgeting
  • Proficient in MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills; sharp business acumen
  • Ability to build rapport with employees and vendors
  • Familiar with environment regulation
  • Professional certification.
  • Work Location in North Sumatra & Java
  • Fluent in English and can operate Microsoft Office
  • Minimum Degree Holders
