Job Description:

• Develop and implement safety programs to ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and reduce the risk of accidents or injuries

• Conduct safety training sessions for employees on safety practices, emergency procedures, and the proper use of personal protective equipment

• Regularly inspect and audit workplace operations and conditions to identify potential safety hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards

• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence

• Develop and oversee emergency response procedures, including drills, and ensure that emergency equipment is properly maintained

• Identify and assess risks and hazards in the workplace, providing recommendations to mitigate them

• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training, incidents, and corrective actions

• Work closely with managers, supervisors, and employees to promote a safety-conscious culture and address safety concerns

Job Requirement:

• Minimum a bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred

• Minimum 2 - 3 years of working experience in safety officer or a similar role is an advantage

• Strong understanding of workplace safety regulations

• Excellent communication skills to train, inform, and motivate employees on safety topics

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to assess risks and develop solutions

• Organizational skills for maintaining records and documentation

• Certifications in safety management are preferred
